Accent Air, part of the Rheem Group and based in Liverpool, are expanding the R&D team and looking to appoint a talented and experienced Design Engineer to work with the Accent Air Conditioning product range. You will take the product from design to prototype and through to implementation int o manufacturing and beyond.
 
You will have:

• Previous design experience with either refrigeration or air conditioning appliances
• Tertiary qualifications in either Scientific or Engineering which is relevant to appliance design and manufacture
• Experience in the design of appliances within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in multifunctional teams
• Understanding of laboratory testing methods
• Understanding of Quality Management within a manufacturing business
• High standard of computer literacy including 3D/CAD/Inventor
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Competency in project planning and management

You will:

• Design, test and evaluate prototypes of new products
• Prepare design documentation including Technical specifications for products and components, Drawings and Bills of Materials
• Lead projects including the development of project plans ensuring that project milestones are met and that the detailed engineering designs comply with product specifications for both new and modified product, at the same time assist the Operations Department with implementation
• Provide technical support to internal personnel and external customers, contractors, engineers, consultants etc
   
  It is imperative that you have experience designing either air conditioners or refrigeration appliances to apply for this role
